Looking for some variety in stories for your beginning reader? The Folktale and Legends Series of My Own Books introduces stories enjoyed by children around the world. Each book features your child as the hero of the story. Some stories are close to the original tale; others are adapted for modern times.

NOTE: The author of these stories is Anne Louise Pemberton, a retired Special Education teacher. As a teacher, Mrs. Pemberton frequently used personalized materials with her students.The Folktales and Legends are based on stories enjoyed by children of many cultures around the world adapted for this application.
