Looking for some variety in stories for your beginning reader? The Folktale and Legends Series of My Own Books introduces literature enjoyed by children around the world. Each book features your child as the hero of the story. Some stories are close to the original tale; others are adapted for modern times.

The reader goes back to medieval times, enters a talent contest, and becomes a prince or princess.

The reader goes back to the time of dragons in Holland to save the town of Utrecht from an evil dragon.


 

NOTE: The author of these stories is Anne Louise Pemberton, a retired Special Education teacher. As a teacher, Mrs. Pemberton frequently used personalized materials with her students.The Folktales and Legends are based on stories enjoyed by children of many cultures around the world adapted for this application.

The Folktales and Legend series is under development, so check back often for new titles.
