Anne Pemberton 2001

NOTE: The author of most of these stories is Anne Louise Pemberton, a retired Special Education teacher. As a teacher, Mrs. Pemberton frequently used personalized materials with her students. When her sister needed motivational reading materials for her severely autistic son, Mrs. Pemberton created her first personalized book, The American Flag.

With the encouragement of friends, other professionals, and the Enabling Support Foundation, Mrs. Pemberton developed this web site to make these personalized stories available to parents, homeschoolers, teachers, and anyone helping children learn to read.

The site has also served as inspiration to school story writers. Five of the stories in the History Hat Series were written written by students at Mount Carmel Catholic High School.
