Educational Synthesis is grateful for the stories written by the Mount Carmel High School students, and looks forward to more stories written by students from Mount Carmel and other schools.
The students in Mrs. Pat Senneville's Freshman English class at Mount Carmel High School were given a two part assignment for Black History Month in 2005. Not only did they have to research and write a report on an African-American, but they also had to write a story using the History Hat theme, involving an event in the life of the African-American they researched. Students had the option of submitting the stories for publication on this website. Five students took that option. Their stories are here.
