Steve's Ham and Beans

Hearty meal that uses the ham bone in the freezer.

Serves 8 or more



Soak beans overnight. Drain

Put beans and ham bone in large pot or slow cooker.

Add plenty of water.

Cook on high until it comes to a boil.

Turn heat low, and cover.

Cook, stirring and adding water as needed until beans are soft. 

Remove ham bone and allow to cool.

Remove all meat from bone and return the meat to the pot.

Continue cooking beans on low until they are mushy.

Chop onion.

Garnish beans with onion.
