This is a favorite for taking a dish or a cook-out.
Drain the canned beans. Add the onion and pepper, mix.
Mix dressing and sugar in a sealablecovered bowl.
Add drained beans. Mix.
Seal lid, and shake contents.
Refrigerate for 24 hours.
Shake before serving.
