In the Alphabet Stories, the student goes to different places to find things that begin with each letter. The student writes the discovered words in a Pictionary.
A Pictionary is a set of pages containing words that begin with a letter each letter of the alphabet. The student author of the Pictionary can complete all the pages and if the child is eager, additional Pictionary pages can be printed for any letter. Punch holes in the Pictionary pages and collect them in a binder with fasteners or rings if desired.
The Pictionary is a good tool not only for learning the letters of the alphabet, but also for working on a project a bit each day. Pictionary pages can be done in any order desired.
Each Pictionary page contains space for three words. Additional pages can be created and printed.
To complete a Pictionary page, the student should find or choose two things that begin with the letter on the page. Put the Word, the Definition, a Drawing, and a Sentence using each word. Each page includes three Pictionary entries for a letter.
The drawing should have meaning to the student. It does not need to be neat or judged as art. It is a chance for the student to consider what place an object beginning with each English letter, in the context of which he or she understands it.
The Student's name appears on the front cover of the Pictionary. Type the Student's name in the following box. If the Student Name Box is left blank, a line will appear on the cover.
