2. Pick a topic that will interest your listener
3. Ask questions to involve your listener
4. Listen and Look at the person speaking

2. LIST THE 5 RULES FOR MAKING A TELEPHONE CALL:

1. Dial the correct number
2. Keep in mind your reason for calling
3. State your name when the person answers
4. Ask "May I speak with...." if your party does not
answer the phone.
5. Leave your name, number, and a SHORT message if
if your party is not in.

3. LIST THE 4 RULES FOR ANSWERING THE TELEPHONE:

1. Ask who is calling, then identify yourself
2. Have paper and pencil ready to take a message
3. Quickly get the person the call is for
4. Write down the name, number and message, if any

4. LIST THE 5 RULES FOR DELIVERING A SPEECH:

1. Speak clearly
2. Speak to your audience
3. Remain still except to make a point
4. Appear at your best
5. Avoid useless words and sounds
