NOTE: This instrument was created by Anne Pemberton for use with certain students at Nottoway HS, Virginia. The instrument was developed using categories and questions developed by Rita and Ken Dunn on their Learning Styles Inventory. This instrument is NOT designed to be used independently by students, but is intended to be used in conjunction with a discussion of each of the categories and how the student can accomodate him/herself within the classroom. "Scoring" is done by reading the entries in each category and writing the preference in space to the right of the category. Categories with more than two choices may have more than one true response. Read, and if its unclear, ask the student for an expanded explanation of their answers to the questions. Ideally, students should have a copy of their completed and scored survey as well as a copy kept for later reference.
Educational Synthesis Forums provides a place for discussion of all areas of education. Login and join the talk or make suggestions. Come back often to read and discuss the critical issues of the 21st century.
