Parent Resources

Parents are the first teachers of their children, and often remain a teacher and mentor through the adult life of their offspring. Educational Synthesis recognizes the role parents have in educating their children whether they choose to send them to an institution of learning, or to homeschool them. Many of the resources offered for use by teachers are just as useful to parents.

	Forums: Educational topics for discussion by Teachers, Parents and others involved in Education. Reply to topics! Start new topics! Find out what parents and educators are discussing!
	Newsletter: Monthly newsletter shared online or via email to let you know what is new on Educational Synthesis. Also notifies or reorganization in the event your favorite content is moved to a new location.
	My Own Books: are personalized stories perfect for reading to children at bedtime and any other time a story is desired. Stories can be printed and made into booklets. Most books are related to instructional objectives, but some are about everyday events.
	Print: Links to printable resources such as toys, games, coloring pages, worksheets and more in each subject area.
MOMS LIKE ME	Moms Like Me - Social Network for mothers.
	Zoodles Web browser and content for toddlers. Parent monitored.
	Bad Wolf Press - Musical skits intended for learning
	ELECTRONIC PORTFOLIOS AND WEB TOOLS are online resources for students to use to create various projects for regular or electronic portfolios. Tools create stories, reports, comics, and more
	Homework includes links to sites that offer resources for homework help. This is a new addition, so please do not hesitage to share more links that you know about and use.
	Famous Americans are links to summaries, pictures, and links to more information on Famous Americans studied by K-12 students.
	Research includes links to almanacs, databases, search engines and collections of sources.
	Mrs. P's Links to Educational Synthesis content for the academic subjects as well as links to other sites on the Internet related to academic subjects.
	Coloring Pictures Includes print and color pictures of the American Presidents, holidays, maps, animals, plants, and more. Also included are links to online coloring activities.
	CURRICULUM: Whether you are homeschooling or just want to see sample of the best curricula, this link provides a views of the curricula for some state especially Virginia, as well as our own SkyHi Curriculum under development.
	Inspiration: Links to multi-media content and resources that are inspirational and/or spiritual.
	TEACHER RESOURCES: Links to content of use to those who are educating student.
	Web Host Index: Links to interesting features of this website.
	Web Courses: Online courses from both Educational Synthesis and Virtual Homeschool provide meaningful choices for parents.
	Holidays: Calendar of months showing holidays with pages and links to information, printables, games and more to celebrate the holidays.
	Index of resources for Special Education for students whose needs include superior intellectual capaciltiy, limited intellectual capacity, and any physical, emotional, or mental handicapping conditions
	Index on the CROSS CULTURE project that brings together parents, professionals, and individuals from various cultures concerning handicapping conditions and their impact on students and adults.
	Garden of Praise Free Educational Resources for Homeschooling and the Christian family or Classroom.
	Spelling City: Put in your spelling words, then choose to learn them, test them, or play a game with them.
